Volcano Bardarbunga
A large caldera volcano beneath Vatnajokull. In 2014 magma travelled some 45 km sideways through the crust, tracked day by day by an earthquake swarm, and fed the six-month Holuhraun eruption, Iceland's largest lava flood in over two centuries, while the caldera floor sank about 65 m.
