Volcano سانتا ماريا
مزّق ثورانه في أكتوبر 1902، وهو واحد من أكبر ثلاثة ثورانات في القرن العشرين، جانب الجبل وقتل ما لا يقل عن 5000 شخص حول كيتزالتينانغو. ومنذ عام 1922 تنمو قباب سانتياغيتو الحممية داخل تلك الندبة، ولا تزال تطلق انفجارات صغيرة من الرماد مرات عديدة يومياً.
